Amber Xtreme 1% TEC
AMBER XTREME 1% :: MOLECULE
An extremely powerful woody-amber molecule from IFF, pre-diluted to 1% in TEC for safer handling and evaluation. Delivers bright, toppy amber character with musky depth and exceptional diffusion. Brighter and more volatile than Ambrocenide, functioning as a performance amplifier that adds volume, warmth, and radiance to virtually any composition. Originally a captive molecule for IFF's in-house perfumers. Performs beautifully even at this dilution, providing tremendous depth and projection without dominating a formula.
Character: bright woody-amber, toppy, sharp, musky, dense, slight ambergris facet.
USE
Functions as a fixative and diffusion amplifier across woody, oriental, leather, floral, and tobacco constructions. Boosts performance and longevity of entire compositions at trace amounts. Adds volume and intensity to transparent or minimalist frameworks. Works in extreme overdose as an accord centerpiece or at traces for subtle depth. Particularly effective at extending projection and substantivity in fabric care, fine fragrance, and personal care applications. Use at 0.5% to 2% (of the 1% dilution) for background enhancement, 2% to 5% for clear woody-amber presence.
PAIRINGS
Ambrox Super, Cashmeran, Timbersilk, Ambrettolide, Ambermor, Iso E Super, Cetalox, Hedione, Tobacco, Leather accords, Patchouli, Rose, Jasmine.
FORMAT
10ml bottle. Pre-diluted to 1% in triethyl citrate (TEC).
Reference: —
Manufacturer: IFF
HANDLING
Diluted to 1% for practical use. Even at this dilution, the molecule is exceptionally powerful. Start with 0.5% to 1% in initial trials. Substantivity exceeds one week on blotters. Allow 24 hours for full integration. The material exhibits a somewhat rancid wood undertone and methyl-anthranilate facet at higher concentrations.
