Ethyl Vanillin 10% TEC
ETHYL VANILLIN :: MOLECULE
An intensely powerful vanilla boomer. Roughly three to four times stronger than standard Vanillin, offering a richer, creamier, and more wildly gourmand profile. It provides a massive, lasting blanket of warm, powdery sweetness with distinct custard and chocolate nuances. It is the backbone of modern sweet confectionery notes and an exceptional fixative.
Character: intense vanilla, creamy, powdery, sweet, warm, gourmand, slightly cocoa.
USE
Sweetens, pushes, and deeply fixes a composition. It is far more influential than Vanillin at the same dosage and less woody. Essential for custard, cake, chocolate, and ice cream accords. It smoothes out rough edges in white florals and sandalwoods, adding a deep, creamy texture to the base.
Use at 0.01% to 0.05% (of the neat molecule) for subtle smoothing and richness. 0.1% to 0.5% for a dominant creamy vanilla character. Higher dosages create intensely sweet, edible effects.
PAIRINGS
Tonka Bean, Coumarin, Benzoin, Labdanum, Sandalwood, Patchouli, Rose, Jasmine, Coconut (lactones), Caramel bases, Cocoa, Musks, Eugenol.
FORMAT
10ml bottle. Pre-diluted to 10% in TEC (Triethyl Citrate).
HANDLING
Extremely potent even at this dilution. Dose carefully, as it can easily dominate a blend and flatten lighter notes if overdosed. Be aware that, like standard Vanillin, it can cause discoloration in final products over time, turning solutions slightly yellow or brown.
